Hello! This female measured about 4 mm. At a meadow on Centaurea jacea (northwest Germany). Jurgen: yesterday I sent a reply with the same conclusion as yours (but it failed to be sent and I have omitted that fact) that it cannot be told cylindrica from jaceae from the picture alone. From the plant, it can be either. Wings are distorted, mesonotum poorly visible. However, wing crossbands look to be more straight, as they are in Chaetostomella cylindrica, and the oviscape is somewhat shorter than must be in C. jaceae. Ergo: 90:10 for cylindrica. Val |
