Hi! Because of the distinct markings on the mesonotum and frons I am not sure, that this is a Drosophila melanogaster. But what else is that fly on the photo? Photographed last week near Hanover, Lower Saxony, Germany. Size: 3 mm only. Thank you very much, Thorsten ---- Hi! Wegen der deutlichen Zeichnungen auf dem Mesonotum und der Stirn bin ich mir nicht sicher, ob das eine Drosophila melanogaster ist. Aber was ist das dann auf dem Foto? Fotografiert letzte Woche nahe Hannover. Körpergröße geschätzt 3 mm. Thank you very much! Is it possible, that Thaumatomyia notata has nearly black markings on the abdomen or are they always lighter? Thorsten |

Thaumatomyia notata, all possess two rows of interfrontals on the triangle and two black verticals (vte and vti) in size about equal. ![]() If I correct see, I think it is notata..!! Sincerely yours Sara |
