Hello, This bright little spark was jumping in the air and landing on the side of a bird bath, it doesn't look like a Musca to me. 22nd April, my garden near Lincoln UK. Janet

It seems to be an Amobia, Sarcophagidae. No wasps around ?

The colouring is different. http://diptera.in...ost_156708 And, in between getting this fly there appeared another one which is probably a female! I hadn't noticed it was different until editing. I have plenty of wasps about, is there one in particular it is interested in?
