Yeah, the genitalia on these things is very distinctive Funnily enough, I never seem to find P.obscura (the one that seems common in mainland Europe) but I did get 2 P.assimilis last year

Yes, I probably missed loads this year because it has been so warm & dry. Today I saw virtually all of the Spring butterflies on the wing - all about 2-3 weeks early.
