Fly on Beaver carcass

Unfotunately, though we saw two interesting mammals on our 10 April walk, both were dead. This fly was photographed on the tail of a beaver carcass. I tend to assume any large green fly on carrion is a Lucilia. Is that true of this one? --Stephen Stephen Cresswell www.americaninsects.net |
