Hello! Is this Tanyptera atrata for sure, or are there similar species? Very impressing animal, about 30 mm with ovipositor! At forest border on beech stem (northwest Germany). Jürgen, Yep, T.atrata. The lookalike T.nigricornis has black trochanters. This specimen has orange ones. (she is full with eggs) Best regards, Andre |
