Hello,
I'm thinking of looking at hoverflies in the flower meadows of the Austrian Alps. Does anyone know if there is a key for hoverflies of Austria?

Further to my last message about Austria, does anyone know whether I need a licence to take any hoverfly specimens from Austria and how I apply for one?
ThanksWink

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
