Looks like Exorista rustica (group) ... species-level ID not possible without male genitalia

(hangs head in shame) ... yep ... go on ... Voria ruralis (or Athrycia - can't work out whether it has median discals or not)!! Grrr I think I will give up identifying photos ... it's so much easier when you have a specimen in your hands!

Come on, that is happening! By the way, in Athrycia R1 is bare, so it is still Voria ruralis.

I could have sworn I saw discal setae on tergites (implying Athrycia rather than Voria), but Erikas is quite right: Vein r1 is hairy. So I need to review my eyes. Theo |
