I would go with B. analis for this one (=undatus). Incidently i suspect http://www.dipter...to_id=1742 is also analis, as is http://www.dipter...to_id=1743 |

based on my specimens cruciatus discal cell largely clear (compare photo of female http://www.dipter...to_id=1866) hairs behind eyes all pale, relatively short and neat analis basally infuscated with relatively sharp border hairs behind eyes include many long black ones |

I agree with david, these pictures http://www.dipter...to_id=1742. Bombylius cruciatus is very common in my region and it is not him on these photos. On B. cruciatus, the longitudinal median strip never goes on on the thorax. Edited by christoophe on 05-04-2011 06:57 |
