Who can help me to identify this couple. Seen on 18 sept. 2010 underneath Betula leave in Calluna heath area.

I think it is Ramonda sp., Tachinidae.

more probably prunaria/prunicia, need to count dorsal apical spurs on hind tibia...

I have feeling that the third brislte may look directly at us, side bristles may stand very wide, maybe Theo will answer you...

Calluna heath in NL typically has Ramonda prunaria,

R. prunicia is pretty rare and restricted to the Veluwe.


I agree that it is impossible to count the prae-apicals, the dorsal one could very well be invisible due to the tibia.

The exact location is on the Ginkelse heide on the Veluwe.
I will give you two more pictures to have still another look at the tibia 3 and on the head seen from the front
