I found this guy under the bark of some firewood this evening.
The wood is of a long dead conifer I have had lying in my garden a couple of years.
I think it is some kind of cedar, I remember it had small cones and soft short needles.
The larva is 18mm, dorsoventrally flattened and inactive.
It looks like Cerambycidae larvae I have seen pics of, but mine is more flattened.
Also I have an exit hole in the wood with diameter of about 4,5mm, would the larva exit to pupate?
