There are a few photos from Stéphane Brule in French Guiana. Could anyone confirm whether I have guessed the correct family ... and possibly add any more information?

I know I am mixing species in the same thread (for brevity) but really I only expect family-level IDs and I will label each with a letter code

Dear Chris,

I agree with Igor Grichanov that this concerns a Diaphorus, one of the numerous species of this genus to be found in the Neotropics.

Cheers,
Marc

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
