I was unable to trace any paper on the identification or description of these two Tabanidae species in the larval stage.
I have checked many papers e.g. Zeegers & van Haaren (2000), Rozkosny & Kniepert (2000), Andreeva (1990) and many (especially Russian) others. However, there are descriptions of P. pyritosus Lw. and Th. tricolor Zell. and Th. carabaghensis Portsch in Andreeva (1990).
Does anybody now if there is any paper on the larval description of either Pangonius micans or Therioplectes gigas?
