First look made me think this was certainly hopeless, but a second look changed my mind There are clear spurs on hind tibia and also distinct ocelli present. So don't let the general impression fool you: this is a member of the Chrysopsinae subfamily (no Tabaninae !!). There is a reason some genus is called 'Pseudotabanus' Still, need to work on this as well. Theo |

It keys out to Pseudotabanus lunulatus. I have no experience with this very variable species, that very well might prove to be a species complex I'm not sure what you are trying to ask, Jorge. Theo |
