Hello,

I need help with the identification of this Conopidae. I suppose it's the genus Physocephala, maybe P. vittata or P. chrysorrhoea? Unfortunately it is the only photo.

Location: Southwest-Germany, Karlsruhe (110msm)
Size: approx. 10mm

Thank you for your time

The genus for sure is correct. At the moment I cannot say which species it is. In case nobody will come with the good answer, I will see later this evening if I can say something more.

Physocephala vittata, male - a regular species in south Germany but not as common as rufipes.
