Hello,

I'm puzzled by these, found under Camellia leaves. They were around 3-4mm each in diameter with some placed singly, some were in groups. They had some webbing placed over the tops as if to hold them in place. I have seen Barkfly eggs covered in similarly dense webbing but not in this conical shape, they are usually flat on the leaf.

19th June 2010, my garden near Lincoln UK.

Can anyone say what type of bug or insect created these? Thanks for any ideas!
