Can anyone help to identify this smallish, very worn out bristly fly, a tachinid I presume, though many of its wings veins are missing! To make ID easier, here is an intact version of - I think - the same species taken nearby on the same day.. There were several around.

Yes, that is correct, both are Zophomyia temula. The last one is certainly male. Very nice picture Theo |
