Hi,

I found some of these when I went trough my Calliphoridae from last summer. The bare arista makes me wonder..., but what else could this beautiful blue fly be ? May 21. 2010 Helsinki, Finland

Haha - good for you! Grin They're on every tree and fence post here in early Spring ... usually my first tachinid of the year Wink They can be quite variable in colour - your photo looks quite blue but in life they are often green so I wonder if being in alcohol might change the colour a bit.
