This brave fly kept jumping on my lens. Photo taken on 28 June 2010 on the edge of a wood, on hot and sunny day in the Czech Republic.

Genus Choerades, I'd say. I have failed to often in naming species in that genus, so I will not try again. Wink

Choerades cf gilva, very probable. Everything points in that direction but i can not entirely exclude C. ignea.

The scutellar setae seem black that would indicate C. gilva
