Stephane, I am absolutely not a hoverfly specialist. Not at all! But, as far as I remember from a distant past, I read that this genus is very difficult and that certain determination is only possible after checking the genitalia. Is this not the case?

Ruud, you are right and scripta is the well known exception on your memory from distant past
