From just outside Pico Bonito National Park, Honduras. Is this Eristalinae? Photo date 17 May 2009. Cloud forest habitat.

Ha, I had intended to post this in the Syrphid forum but accidentally posted it here. It sounds like I posted it in the right place after all! I'll change the title to entice the friends of Stratiomyidae to have a look.
