NO, it is a member of the related genus Tachina. In Peleteria the legs are dark, here the tibiae distinctly red. Was the fly hilltopping ? Theo |

Thank you, Theo. The fly was sitting on the warm limestone rock near the top of the hill, but I am not sure if this was matting behaviour (hilltoping). Tomi |
