4 sternopleural bristles arranged 2:2, no acrostichals; 2 pre-dc's, 4 post dc's; scutellar bristles unusual, 4 prs, short, long, short then apicals long,crossed. Antennae completely broken off; eyes bare.

I happened to see a similar fly as I was looking through the Gallery - could this be Helina trivittata? |

Female Helina : check for Helina reversio, one of the commonest : should have a short pra and a small pd on basal third of t3.
