I apologize for the sorry state this little fellow is in... I'm still hoping that the 4 picture set will help me get a confirmation whether this is a periscelid fly or not. Captured in grape juice traps on 31 July 2009 in Cawston, BC, Canada. Habitat is apple orchard surrounded by Artemisia tridentata scrubland.
