Hi

I thought it could be X.pedissequum, but I red that there are some similar syrphids.

Switzerland, Lake Zurich, besides a small bond, 412 msm, 31.0.2010

Thanks a lot, best regards, Brigitte

Most likely pedissequum. But do you have a good view on the downside of the abdomen perhaps?
And by the way, which month is month zero? Wink

Hi André

no, I'm sad, no downside of this one.

Month zero you don't know? :-)
In this case it's july the "main" month for X. pedissequum. But that helps less without a pic from the downside.
What do you think of cf and sp?

Thanks for ID! Greetings from Switzerland, Brigitte
