Sapromyza spec. I am curious whether Katka or Paul can make something more out of it. I see 6 ac's, I think. Is it sordida?

Papp mentions in his key that sordida is known from the British Isles and Northern Italy.

That is promising! Waiting now to see if Katka or Paul can say any more. Remember that I can give closer views of parts if needed. http://cubits.org... |

Yes, wait for their reaction. The point is, the fly appears so dark, but possibly because of the photo. Also the spots on the scutellum and end of dorsum look strange. No, I leave it to Katka and Paul.....

It was quite dark, but so was the Heleomyzidae! I cropped the scutellum closer.. also posting another shot I got from the front. blowave attached the following image: ![]() [91.9Kb] http://cubits.org... |

I've lightened the pic, if post orbitals are on the back edge of the head then I would say there are some.. blowave attached the following image: ![]() [96.28Kb] http://cubits.org... |
