 Mycetophila fungorum larva?

Hello. 11th October, in rotting fungi on my 'lawn', near Lincoln UK. The larva stretched out was around 9mm. On the 14th most of the fungi had dried up, I found one larva in a small part that was still liquid. 3 pics from 11th, 1 from 14th. Yes, it looks like Mycetophila fungorum. To be sure finally you can look at anterior spiracles and find there 6 oval spiracular openings - they are not seen on the photos. |

I'm not sure where I would find the anterior spiracles, somewhere near the head end I imagine. As more than two weeks have now passed these have probably pupated. Do they go to the ground when pupating? All but one had disappeared the following day when most of the fungi had dried. http://cubits.org... |

Anterior spiracles - 2 brown larger spots a little behind the head on the last photo. Larvae pupate in ground not far from fungi. I think now they winter somewhere.  |
