I have two female specimens of what I assume to be Scellus spp. from Lincoln UK. Firstly are they Scellus, because they are clearly very different and with my modest resources suggest that the UK has only S. notatus. The pictures are not very good but the best I can do at the moment.

The dark fly #2 has brilliant metallic green hind femora; these are grey with a very slight gloss in fly # 1. The hind coxa has hairs in fly #1 and none in fly #2. |
