It looks like Linnaemya, but shape of post-angular vein m is not characteristic for this genus. It is Linnaemya or not? southern Poland (WR88), 20.08.2009

Looks a bit more like the Eurithia/Ernestia group (dark basicosta)

Thank you very much. It better matches for Eurithia (from photos in gallery) but it isn't possible to tell these two genus apart from this one photo? |

Well, I can't see vertical bristles so it should be Ernestia but we really need Theo to go further, I think

It is Eurithia and the vertex is very narrow for that genus, a clear indication of Eu. connivens or related yellow-palped species. Date and habitus suggest connivens to me, but since we cannot see the palpus... it is tentative. Connivens is pretty common in Poland, whereas it is pretty rare and local in western Europe. Theo |

Ahh, a species that I see very rarely here so I was fooled by the narrow frons .... grrr
