19/09/2010, a garden, Kalmthout, Belgium. Just this picture... Phoridae I think, but is further ID possible? Thanks in advance!

Oef, there are some species in our area, but S. analis is quite common, so I expect it to be this species. You should ask a Sciaridae specialist, which I am certainly not.

hmmm, I guess the occurence of S. flavimana, S. humeralis, S. militaris, S. modesta, S. ruficauda and S. thomae are also possible. According to the Cat. of Pal. Diptera humeralis, modesta and thomae are recorded from Belgium.
