I think this is Discomyza incurva (Ephydridae). |

There is another ephydrid genus - Clanoneurum - looking like Discomyza, but the flies are much smaller (about 2 mm against 4-5 mm in Discomyza). It is difficult to be sure from this photo. If you have the fly then Clanoneurum has vein R2+3 burnt to costa and going parallel to it, besides it has broken tp - second transverse vein and a fold from this vein to wing margin, and it has 4 visible abdominal segments, the 5th strongly reduced. ![]() |
