Funny tiny Brazilian jumping fly

This fly was very tiny (about 3mm) and hard to get proper pics of as it kept jumping high up in the air, unlike any other fly I have ever seen. It's very pretty with a shiny emerald green suit. In fact everything was shiny on it...

I met it a few times in the rainforest of Brazil close by a river near Paraty.
The pics date from the 10th Febr. this year
Can anyone help me to find its family and if possible Genus?

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
