This is one of my best finds during a week spent in the Russian North (hot as it mostly was, though). 2 males and 1 female, August 12; 3 females and 1 male, August 13, and 1 female, August 17, 2010, environs of Solvychegodsk, Arkhangelsk region, 61.34212N, 46.91382E. Size of males ca. 2.2 to 2.5 mm, that of females approx. 2.7 to 3 mm. Wings carry 7 to 8 white spots in 2 rows.

I, gravity turning to jest,
Ascend, with all ease, perpendicular planes,
Rough or smooth, just as pleases me best.
