as you said, maybe. I think it is next to impossible to tell which species from a photo. For me a very difficult genus

If the antenna entirely black, I'd say Medetera parenti Stackelberg, 1925

But, looking at the photo, the antenna isn't entirely black. But perhaps it is difficult to be sure ...

Medetera parenti has been recorded from Finland, but the observation has not been published yet.

I dont dare to say if this one is M. parenti without examining the male genitalia in detail.

Finally I had time to have a look at this one and as far I can see the antenna is black. Maybe I should put this one aside for Kahis for a closer look.

Dear Jari ...,

It's definitely not M. jacula (see the posterior section of the CuA1 vein that is too long). I am not sure at all whether we are dealing with M. parenti as parenti shows a particular (ochreous!) hypandrium and aedeagus and has a brilliantly shining face. The best thing to do is, indeed, send the specimen to Jere Kahanpää, our Finnish colleague.
