Hello, I have recently started to explore the world through my macro lens and am wondering what this fly is. I have been advised that it may be an Anthomyiidae; perhaps Delia sp. Naively, I thought identifying a fly would be a simple matter After exploring this site I now realise how wrong I was! Taken in July 2010 in Central Scotland. Fly is standing on a Marigold stem. Approx 6mm long. ![]() Can anyone ID it please? David |
