Looks like a female of Phasia obesa or aurulans to me but I am not sure which one it could be
Manager of the UK Species Inventory in the Angela Marmont Centre for UK Biodiversity at the Natural History Museum, London. |

And that is what is is. The dusting on thorax of female aurulans is only visible from behind, in other angles it is invisible. So we have been tricked ! The mouthmargin is much too much projecting for barbifrons, moreover, the wing base is strongly yellow, whereas it is slightly infuscated in barbifrons. Theo |
