hi flyforum, Last week Lars catched some flies for me with a electric! flycatcher(?) One of the catched flies is this one. Looks Muscidae to me (except the abdomen are quite elongated!) I can clearly see the anal vein running till the wing margin. I guess this is a male Hydrophoria lancifer.
