Hi, Two days ago I watched several Miltogramminae flies, they are lovely little ones. How can I discriminate between Miltogramma and Senotainia - is there any jizz? Both specimens are very likely Miltogramma punctata (assuming you have caught them in Germany). Miltogramma can be recognised because the vibrissal bristles are rather week. Liekele |

Surely these are German flies; I live in Berlin, as you know. (If I post photos from outside Berlin, I give the locality.) However, they were caught by the camera only! May they live long and happy.
