Hoverfly for ID

Can anyone help ID this one. It was the only one of its species around and I spent some 20 minutes trying to photograph it - the darn thing just would not settle . There were plenty on Selborne Common on Saturday. I had seen then there last year, but this was the first time I could get one in the net. not easy to get close too. Don't confuse with Leucozona glaucia which has an all yellow scutellum. Edited by Mark-uk on 20-07-2010 22:12 |
