Hi everyone, I believe this to be Palloptera ustulata. I checked with 'Checklist of the diptera of the Neth'. Great book, by the way, though for a layman like myself some study is needed to understand it all. Am I right? or it could be Palloptera anderssoni Rotheray & MacGowan, 1999. i see no colour contrast between ppl and mesonotum. Palloptera ustulata Fall?n, 1820 usually has yellowish ppl esp in female. you need a male and examine aedeagus to be sure. |
