The best spot we use to collect in Kiev is the hedgegros collection at the Botanical Garden. Unfortunately, too many old bushes have been entirely destroyed in certain spots around the city, including those we used to collect R. berberidis. People hunt for big roots as a remedy against chololiths (gallstones).
