This was found at Scatsta Airport a couple of weeks ago, can't remember the size...anyone got any ideas on it.
Looks kinda Sphaero to me??

Sphaerocerid; hard to tell more from this angle (but not one of the tiddly ones)

Another image...I think this one must have been among the flies sent to Paul for ID...'cause I can't find it among my heap of dead stuff awkward

Apologies for crap photo's...it's been in the freezer and the legs have contracted towards the body Frown, how can this be corrected...happens to most of them.

I can't see a hook on the hind tarsus, so might be Lotophila atra. If you want to relax them, put them in a vial on damp cotton wool for a few hours;

Thanks for that Phil Smile This one was photographed the same night that the dead one was caught in the pan trap ( actually a yellow Kelloggs cereal bowl to give it its technical name). Your suggestion looks good to me. There were quite a few of these on "The Grit Bins of Scatsta"
