These are all new to me so I apologise if I am posting common species. I thought this might be P.errans but there are only 3 post sutural dorsicentral setae. Antennae black, very short hairs on aristae. no posterior setae on front tibia, no long presutural acrostichals. I'd be very grateful for an ID to help me to get the hang of these very similar flies. Thanks Stephane. How do you know it's a Fannia ? I can't see veins 6 & 7 clearly enough to know what their relationship is . |

You can also look at the Sc (subcostal vein), which is more often visible : it is typically straight and diverging from R1 near their bases.
