Found sunning itself alongside field margin on 04/05/10.
Hurst, Reading,UK.

Could it be from the Pimpla genus? Swollen red femurs are very distinctive plus white & black tibia on hind leg.

I wonder if the species could be P.flavicoxis or P.melanacrias as both these have a blackish hind tibia with a whitish band near the proximal end?
