Probably Phaonia rufiventris (scutellum entirely orange, fore tibia without posterior setae). Regards, Sundew |

To discriminate between P. rufiventris and P. subventa, I cite Stéphane Lebrun: "Phaonia rufiventris: 1 presut ac. ; scutellum entirelly orange (at most darkened at extreme base ; mid tibia with 3-4 post. setae; fore tibia without p. setae. Phaonia subventa: 2 presut ac. ; scutellum almost always broadly darkened at base ; mid tibia with 2 p. setae ; fore tibia with p. setae. (There is a third one, Phaonia bitincta)." |
