Hi,
Today it was very cold, and the flies were slow. Light was bad, I had to use the flash. On house walls I found two nice Tachinids, obviously belonging to the same species (at least to me!). The arista looked somehow articulated. I wonder which name will be found.
Many thanks, Sundew

I'd prefer to see bigger photos, showing more detail but my guess on #1 would be Blepharomyia pagana Smile Possibly also #2 but I would prefer a confirmation from Theo Wink

Chris: do you really want still bigger photos, or did you simply forget to click on them Grin? I can try to get detail magnifications, if you tell me what you need.
However, you obviously came to an agreement with Stephane, didn't you? So Triathria setipennis, new for me - great! Thanks!

Hi - that's fine - I clicked but forgot to click again to maximize them - doh! Having a bad day here ... brain is still on holiday! Wink The long arista segments should be quite distinctive of Triathria setipennis so it should be fine Smile
