Looks peculiar. If it is from Norway, it could be one of those 'boreal' Calliphora's, like C. genarum. Theo |

First, we would need to settle the genus. Hairy calypter would rule Melinda out. I'm a little bit concerned about Onesia. IS the abdomen bluish or greenish ? Theo |

The whole fly appeared strikingly blue in real life including the abdomen. I did catch it today, and in lamp-light it could appear somewhat greenish, but I'd still say it is blue. Let me know if we need any close-ups Hyperbolizer |

It looks like Calliphora in general but I'm still in doubt. Since you have the specimen in front of you Have a look for yourself at the upper surface of the lower (large) calypter: with hairs: Calliphora without (so only hairs at the rim): Melinda Theo |

Not sure how large the hairs are supposed to be, but it does not look very hairy to me
