Thanks Jorge, I will tell my Conopid man about it. Looking in the Gallery it is not D. dorsalis or D. punctata, that leaves D. aculeata, D. confusa and D. marginata - known from Europe - I am off to search for images elsewhere.

According to the key at
home.hccnet.nl/mp.van.veen/conopidae/
it is D. marginata because of the all black scutellum (not visible in the pictures, but i asure you it is all black), however this key does not include D. confusa, so I still don't know for sure.

Yes, it's Dalmannia marginata (Meigen, 1824)
Dalmannia confusa is a synonym of Dalmannia dorsalis, and that species has at least some yellow at the humeri (shoulder), but most of the time also on the scutellum.

How many specimens you have of this one?

And, please, submit it to the gallery.
