Hi Andrzej
I'm afraid those are the best shots I have..Frown..there was a breeze blowing and I was lucky to get kind of half focussed on it as it was. I've looked through the Gallery thinking it was maybe Drosophilidae, but I think the arista are bare. The next family that seem to fit the bill is Diastatidae as they appear to be similar to Drosophilidae but look to have bare arista. The halteres look very vividly coloured as does this fly....just a few thoughts...who knows, probably a mile off. Paul might know but he seems to have disappeared off the radar for the past 4 days Frown

My first impression was Agromyzidae. But I'm not quite satisfied with the brownish-grey thorax, in Agromyzidae it more often is blackish or distinctly greyish.

Hi KWQ and Joke
I did consider Agromyzidae because of the size of this fly. But do they have hairy eyes as this one appears to have? Here is a better view of the wing and arse Wink

Thanks for confirming Milos. I wish I'd been able to get a better set of photo's, and hope to bump into it again on a more calm day.

Hi Roger,
In so small species is staunchest determination by male terminalia only.
