oh my, at first I thought Dexia ![]() If Dinera we´ve got just 3 recorded ones: D. carinifrons, D. ferina and D. grisescens; the first 2 seem b/w, could it be then D. grisescens? Thanks ![]() |

I would have gone for Dexia / Bithia direction also.. just by feeling, as it does not look immediately to any of the three Dinera to me. |

offf these Tachinidae subfamily´s jumps by appearance drive me crazy, - Have all Bithia the M vein like this? http://diptera.in...d_id=14965 - This Dinera grisescens has a similar colour at least: http://diptera.in...to_id=3017 ? Thanks Edited by paqui on 14-04-2010 18:31 |

I think Dexia was actually a good idea. In case of Dinera it might only be grisescens, given the colours, however, the excavation on syntergiet 1&2 is complete. The wing venation with this short appendix to bend is typical in Dexia. Bithia makes sense as well, however, I have never seen a Bithia with this appendix. Theo |
